Ms.Taylor died Sunday, September 29, 2019 at her residence.

She was born August 31, 1938 to Roy and Nellen Bradley Armstrong. She married Billy Taylor at a young age and they enjoyed many happy years together. Peggy was a member and served as pianist at New Hope Methodist Church. In addition to her love of music, she was a talented painter and left behind a number of beautiful paintings. She was a lover of animals and an advocate of ASPCA. Her career began in 1967-1970 with Corinth Community Development. In 1970 when Tennessee Valley Regional Housing Authority was created she served as secretary and she was later promoted to executive secretary. In 1986 she became Thomas Coleman’s executive assistant and in 1989 she was named assistant executive director. Her career spanned 39 years.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Billy Taylor, parents; Roy Armstrong and Nellen Armstrong Fullwood and step-father, Bill Fullwood.
She leaves behind a brother; Travis (Evon) Armstrong; sisters; Norma (Kerney) McNeil, Linda (Bill) Winters, and her much loved nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Adam Fowler, Chris Fowler, Nick Fowler, Zack Fowler, Adam Davis, Michael Moore and Brad McNeil.
Bro. Rod Taylor and Bro. Johnny Hancock will officiate the service.
Visitation will be held Tuesday 12:00 until service time.
