Funeral services for John “Johnny” Gilmore are set for 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Frank Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Rowland Mills Cemetery in Burnsville.
Mr. Gilmore died on Monday, February 24th at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was born on July 24, 1941 in Corinth to the late Wid and Nora McCrary Gilmore. He was a member of the Tri-State Fly Wheelers Antique Tractor Club, Tri-State Coin & Relic Club, Holt Spur Fire Department, Loved to collect coins, Indian and Civil War relics, metal detecting, and motorcycles and was a people person.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Carol, Jimmy, Terry, and Jerry Gilmore.
Survivors include his wife, Bettie Gilmore; two brothers, Troy Gilmore and Mac Gilmore and wife Sharon; one sister, Betty Maness; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 26th from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. and from 11:00 A.M. till service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
