Jeanie Lavon Hufstedler, 74, of Michie, TN passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Ms. Hufstedler was born November 20,1949 to the late Billie Joe and June Elizabeth Teel Flanagan in Corinth, MS. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Jeanie was also a member of The Red Hats Society, that encourages women in their quest to get the most out of life! She was an avid traveler; having many filled passport pages. She enjoyed gardening and watching her birdfeeder through her windows. Jeanie also enjoyed reading and watching her favorite television shows. She will for forever cherish her cat "Frankie".
Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger Alan Hufstedler; and two brothers, Billie Joe Flanagan Jr. and George Flanagan.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Qualls (Kevin Todd); five sisters, Judy Ivy (Jeff), Jo Armstrong Caduillo (Paul), Janis Durham, Janeva Caldwell all of Tupelo, and Joyce White of Corinth; two grandchildren, Brittany Cox (Ethan) and Jacob Qualls; a single great-granddaughter Sydney Cox; and a host of extended family and friends.
There is a Celebration of Life Memorial Service scheduled for Friday, January 12, 2024 beginning at one o'clock in the afternoon at McPeters Funeral Directors with Rev. Lane Voyles officiating. The family will begin accepting friends at eleven o'clock in the morning until service time.
