James W. West

A Celebration of Life Service for James W. West, 80, is set for 6:00 pm Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home with Kim Ratliff and Elizabeth West officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 to service time.

James died February 27, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born October 11, 1941 in Alcorn Co., MS to the late James Andrew and Cotelia West. James had the love and passion of cooking and serving meals to his family and friends in Corinth for several years at local restaurants.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lewis West; sister, Bertha Mae Ratliff; step-daughter, Tina Stephens; and step-sons, Greg Mayo and James Threadgill.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda West; sons, James B.West (Mary), Robert West (Elizabeth); daughter, Selena Scott (Donald); step-sons, Adam Threadgill (Christy) and Brett Threadgill; brother, Terry West (Susan); sisters, Rosa Lee Alexander, Mary Evelyn Carpenter (Isaiah), Ethel Jean McDonald (William), Katherine Pounders and Betty Billips (Cheyenne); nineteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
