Canadia Burns

A Celebration of Life Service for Canadia Burns, 80, will be Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 3 pm at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Clayton Allred officiating. Interment to follow at Shiloh Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 pm until service time on Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home.

Canadia passed away on November 3, 2023 at MS Care Center. She was born to the late Thurman and Ader Wilbanks on July 31,1943. She married Billy Edgar Burns on November 17,1972. After his death, Canadia lived at Mississippi Care Center for 23 years. She loved the simple things in life such as colorful clothes and hugs from her family at Mississippi Care Center.

Canadia is survived by one brother, Jerry Wilbanks of Savannah, TN and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Edgar Burns; sister, Graple Jean Wilbanks Kennedy, Naomi Wilbanks Isbell and Lavada Wilbanks Hamm; and a brother, Clovis Wilbanks.

The family would like to express appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Vital Care of Corinth and especially to staff of Mississippi Care Center for many years of care and love shown to Canadia.
