Bobby H. Wallace, age 76 died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at his home. He was born on Friday, September 14, 1934 to the late Vance and Eva Mae Roberts Wallace. He was a member of the Farmington Baptist Church and a retired truck driver. He was Master Mason, 32nd Degree Mason, past W. M. of Lodge No. 116, served his country in the United States Army. His was assigned to the Military Police during the Korean War. During his service, he received the National Defense Medal, Korean Defense Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. After retirement Bobby drove a tour bus and worked with Hopkins Truck Sales. He favorite past time was riding motorcycle, a Harley Davidson, which he was and avid fan of.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 7, 2011 at the Farmington Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Nall officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 6th from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at McPeters Funeral Directors in Corinth. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Monday. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Chad Wallace; and a sister, Donnie Opal Pace.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Nell Wallace; two sons, Stephen Wallace and wife Gina; Randy Vance Wallace, all of Corinth. Step-daughter, Debra Smith and husband Perry of Cario, MS, step-sons, Billy Wayne Taylor and wife Susan and Ronnie Wade Taylor both of Corinth; two sisters, Maxine Wilbanks of Counce, TN and Betty Sue Byrd of Corinth, three brothers, Buddy Wallace, Billy Wallace and Tommie Wallace all of Corinth; three grandchildren, Stephen B. Wallace, Amy L. Joslin, and Joseph P. Wallace; six step grandchildren, Terry Smith, Shanna Marie Wigginton, Jacob Smith, Zeb Taylor, Lindsey Taylor and Jodie Taylor; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Farmington Cemetery Fund.
