Bill died October 6, 2017 at Country Cottage. He was born March 23, 1927 in Oxford, MS. To the late William Alexander and Alice Wilder Maples. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, served in the US Army during WWII. He retired from Boeing as a Test Technician for the space program, having worked also for Rockwell International Corp for 32 years, helping put the first man Neil Armstrong on the moon. Bill and Earline moved back to Corinth, MS. 2005.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Savage.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Earline Farris Maples; sons, James (Kathy) Maples, Bill Edward Maples; brother, Johnny (Mary Ann) Savage; sisters Louise (Ronnie) Rodighier, Faye (Tommy) Hopkins; grandchildren, Jonathan Maples, David Maples, Paul Maples, Valerie Allen; several great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 to service time.
