Joyce was born in Ft. Madison, Iowa and grew up in Burlington, Iowa. She moved to Miami, Florida in the 1960’s. She was the daughter of James C Cooper and Lillian Turner Cooper Timmerman. She lived and worked in Miami as a paralegal for over 48 years. She was fiercely independent and displayed a strong desire to do everything herself. Joyce loved the beach, loved gardening, and she especially loved Christmas.
She is survived by her daughter, Angie Tweedy Rudd, daughter in law Francine Rudd, brother, Robert Timmerman, sister, Sherry Alexander and Uncle Jack E. Turner. She is predeceased by her brother Howard Timmerman.
Graveside service will be held on June 17th, 2024 at Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery located at 7701 Bailey Rd, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
A gathering/reception will be held afterward at the Rudd residence.
