Carmen was a beautiful, caring, talented, smart, and witty 16 year old. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and making others laugh. Carmen pushed herself to do her best in school, piano, and learning new things, such as German. She was involved in her church youth group and different school clubs. Her favorite past times were watching TV shows, guessing the endings to movies, and devouring books. Carmen also liked to travel, visit art museums, and help others. She was excited about graduating from Stoneman Douglas this June and attending either the University of Florida or the University of Washington. Her dreams were to become a medical scientist, find the cure for ALS, and make the world a better place. Her parents, brother, sister, and all those who love her, miss her greatly, and wish she was still here.
