Manuel Moreno

Manuel Moreno, 42, of Copperas Cove passed away on September 19th, 2024 from a car accident. Manuel was born at Fort Bragg, North Carolina on April 6th, 1982 to Jose and Lisa Moreno. Manuel attended Copperas Cove High School and graduated in 2001. Manuel worked hard and succeeded in everything he did.

Manuel was a proud veteran who served on active duty in the Navy. Manuel joined the Navy in 2001 right after high school then went on to serve in the Army Reserve. Manuel was employed as a gate guard at Fort Hood prior to being employed for TDCJ for the past eleven years. Manuel was very devoted to his job. During his military career, Manuel received several medals and awards throughout his time in service.

Manuel is survived by his parents, who love and miss him dearly, Jose and Lisa Moreno. He is also survived by three brothers, Jose Moreno IV (Michelle) of Duncan, Oklahoma, Michael Moreno of Copperas Cove, Texas and Jose Antonio Moreno of Copperas Cove, Texas. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Manuel was preceded in death by his loving Grandmothers, Maria Moreno of Victoria, Texas and Doris Ward of Lumberton, North Carolina, and his Grandfathers Jose Moreno Sr. of Beeville, Texas and John Hurdle of Vienna, Georgia.

A Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Friday September 27th at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove, Texas. A Celebration of Manuel's Life will be held on Saturday September 28th at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. A Graveside service will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on October 3rd.
