John Nell Goff

John Nell McAda Goff, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on December 15, 1949, she was the cherished daughter of the late Sophia Mozelle Owen McAda and John Truitt McAda.

John Nell’s life was a testament to the power of family, love, and togetherness. She dedicated her life to raising her two daughters, Miranda Goff and Jennifer Goff-Westbrook, instilling in them the values of compassion, strength, and unwavering support. Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren, Danielle Westbrook, Julia Phillips, and Michael Phillips, who were the light of her life.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara McAda-Abbott, and her brother, Paul McAda, with whom she shared a lifelong bond of love and loyalty. As well as her niece, Dalice McAda, and her nephews, Bryan Abbott, Bruce Abbott, and Justin McAda, who all held a special place in her heart.

John Nell’s love for her family was limitless, and she will be remembered for her kindness, her wisdom, and the way she brought everyone together.

John Nell's legacy is one of love—a love that will continue to guide and comfort her family in the years to come.

A celebration of life service will be held in her honor on September 8, 2024 at 1:00PM.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of a woman who meant so much to so many at the Westbrook's home. We are asking everyone to wear John Nell's favorite color, blue, as we celebrate her life and the lives she touched with her kind words, wisdom and magnetic personality.
