February 3, 1945 - September 19, 2023
Our dear mother, Earline Veronica Morris, (Henry)(Cherry) 78, of Copperas Cove, Texas, originally from Dorchester Massachusetts, got her wings and went to fly with the angels on September 19, 2023. She was born to the late Ena and David Henry, February 3, 1945, in St. Andrews, Jamaica. She was raised by her grandparents, the late Joseph and Edith Henry. Earline got married to Robert Morris in 1974, then joined her husband in the United States in 1976. They lived together in Dorchester Massachusetts for over forty years.
While living in Massachusetts she worked for the state as a mental healthcare worker for over thirty years. Earline relocated to Copperas Cove, Texas in 2022 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Earline is survived by her husband Robert Morris, daughter and son-in-law, Juliet Caple (Charmaine) and Quintin Caple of Copperas Cove, Texas, son and daughter-in-law, Herbert Morris (Romeo) and Regina Morris of Steger, IL. In addition, her stepson, Dudley (Robert) Morris of Boston, MA, stepdaughter Christene Morris, (June). Earline was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Morris, Shawn Morris, and stepson Christopher Morris.
Earline is survived by her grandchildren, Alicia Caple, Andrae Morris, Quintin Caple Jr, Shawn Morris Jr, Shyon Morris. Great- grandchildren, Malenah, De’Andre, Logan, Jayce, Cory, King and other grand and great grandchildren that are too numerous to list. She was preceded in death by her great-grandson Joseph Caple. Earline is survived by her sisters and brothers, Patricia Wilson, Doreen Bell, Yvonne Gordon, Dawn Morrison, Lloyd Henry, Trevor Henry and Michael Brown. Earline was preceded in death by her sister Beverly Jackson and brother Barrington Brown. She is survived by a whole host of family, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Our mother was the happiest when she was with her family and friends, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Earline Morris was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to help her family and friends, even if she had to go without. This was a large part of why she chose the mental healthcare field, she loved to help people. She loves to sing and listen to gospel music. She lived a just and good life and now sees her dreams come through in the way her children now live their lives. She has accomplished a lot by raising her three children to be respectful, responsible, independent, self-sufficient, humble, to have strong work ethics, loyalty, and to treat others the way we want to be treated. She was the mother that most people wish they had.
Earline will be remembered for the heart she shared with her friends and family. She truly loved each of them. She carried herself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who have the privilege of knowing her. Earline will be missed dearly.
