Dennis Patrick Young

Beloved friend, father and grandfather, Dennis Patrick Young, sadly passed away September 13th, 2023. Dennis was born June 17th, 1961 in Fort Worth Texas, and had been a longtime resident of Copperas Cove. It was here where Dennis resided with his two children and their mother, Yvonne Young of Killeen TX. Dennis dedicated his life to his family, and spent much of his time working so that he could provide for them, and so many other residents of Cove. Dennis had a wealth of knowledge in plumbing, heating and air and electric work. He provided guidance and mentorship to many aspiring handymen and loved being able to expand their knowledge in these various fields. He was a stranger to no one, and a friend to anyone who needed it. Dennis left a lasting impact on all who knew him, and in his final days was described as being his usual self, to which can be portrayed as him making those in his presence laugh at his crude jokes and feel at ease knowing they were with someone who was going to become a fast friend.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Monica Young, as well as his brother Daniel Young. He leaves behind his two children Lisa Campos of Killeen, Texas and Micheal (Melissa) Young of Copperas Cove, Texas. His siblings James (Amy) Young of Copperas Cove, Alicia “Amy” Young (Rick Prince) of Colfax, Wisconsin, Kathlene (Greg) Tilque of Gilbert, Arizona. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kayla Taylor (Dustin Rhodes), Kara (Trenton) Reynolds, and Grace Taylor (Logan Hill) and Mason Young all from Copperas Cove. As well as his great-granddaughter Aria Reynolds.

A Memorial Service for Dennis will be held on Saturday September 23rd, 2023 at 3pm at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.

Private services for Dennis Young will be held by the family at a later date.
