Catherine F Weed

Catherine “Cathy” Weed passed peacefully to Heaven on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. She was surrounded by her loved ones in those final days. Cathy was born June 4, 1952, in Lackawanna, New York. Cathy met Frank Weed in the early 80’s while working to support her three children. Frank finally “wore her down” and they were married on June 1, 1983. Cathy loved her work as a business owner and always kept busy with her sewing, plants and gardening. Her greatest pride in life, however, was her family. Cathy ran a successful business, but she would tell you her greatest accomplishments were that she was able to watch all three of her children receive Bachelor’s degrees, attended all of their weddings, and was present at the births of all four of her grandchildren.

Cathy is survived by Frank Weed, her beloved husband of 34 years and his daughter, Joyce Ann Weed and her six children. Eldest daughter, Octavia Buzzard-Dorazil and son-in-law Bryan Dorazil, of Waxahachie, Texas. Her son James Buzzard II and daughter-in-law April Buzzard, of Copperas Cove, Texas. Her youngest daughter, Carlie Buzzard-Virginia and son-in-law Douglas Virginia of Oswego, New York. Finally, the keepers of her heart, her four grandchildren, Megan Dorazil, Alexandria Buzzard, Nicholas Dorazil, and Jacob Virginia and her cherished Fur Baby, Nataila Diamond. She just tolerated Frank’s dog, Oscar.

The Celebration of Cathy’s life will be Sunday, October 8th, at 3 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. If you wish to send flowers please send bright, cheerful, beautiful REAL flowers. Cathy rarely received real flowers in life because she was highly allergic to them. This time, she wants all the real flowers she can get and she won’t SNEEZE! Those attending the Service, be aware that it is very casual dress and DO NOT WEAR BLACK.
