Dennis was born October 29, 1952, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and moved to Dallas in 1965. He graduated from WT White HS in Dallas in 1971. He pursued a finance degree from the University of Arkansas, graduating in 1976. While at the U of A, he was an active member of The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
Dennis married the love of his life, Mary Ann Kellam on Sept 15, 1979, in Houston, TX. Together, they had one son, Drew Hamilton Kellam and one granddaughter, Madison Rebecca Kellam.
Dennis worked at GTE/Verizon for 28 years, where he earned several awards, recognitions, and trips. He retired in 2013 and later that year went to work as VP of Sales at Unified Connection, where he was working at the time of his death.
He enjoyed playing and attending all sporting events. He loved his Arkansas Razorbacks sports. He loved hunting with his brother, his buddies, and his son and best friend, Drew. He also loved playing golf. Dennis took great pride in coaching youth baseball since Drew was 5 years old, as well as volunteering at Fellowship Church in the Usher ministry.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Kellam, son Drew Hamilton Kellam, granddaughter Madison Kellam, sister Jacqueline Kellam Joyner,
brother, Charles Damon Kellam, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws that he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Harold Kellam & Dorothy Fisher Kellam.
Visitation will be Monday, September 6, 2021, at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home from 6-8p.m. Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday September 7, 2021, at Fellowship Church in Grapevine, TX at 11:00 A.M.
There will be no graveside services at this time.
