Cathy spent many years working as an insurance sales representative for Liberty Mutual and other companies, as well as many independent and State Farm agents. She met the love of her life, Stan Bartnikowski at the Vincentian Club, a Catholic singles organization, in 1970 and got married on October 2, 1971. They moved with his job to the Chicago area, then to the Washington, D.C. area until finally returning to Dallas in 1985.
She was a charter member of the Perot Museum and an active member of Art and the Meadows Museum. With her husband, Cathy enjoyed visiting each of the 50 states, as well as multiple countries in Europe. She volunteered extensively at St. Ann’s Church in the Good Samaritan group.
She enjoyed the arts and this was proven by her ability to create wreaths and ornaments for area craft fairs, attending the Dallas Summer Musicals, and occasionally catching an opera.
