Mr. Seery was born in Floral Park, L.I., to his late parents, Anna and John Seery. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and in his years of work was an Optical Technician for the Nikon Corporation in Garden City.
John is predeceased recently by his beloved wife, Mary L. Seery, and his grandson, Kevin Baccali. Surviving are his children - his daughter, Brenda Baccali and his son, Brian Seery, his grandchildren - Megan Seery, Jessica Seery and Korinne (Ian) Nevins; and his great-grandson, Eamon Nevins. Also surviving are his cherished dogs - Chauncey and Maggie.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home for visitation on Wednesday evening, June 19th, from 5:00 - 8:30 p.m. On Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m., the Funeral Prayer Service will be offered. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
