Eddie Rock

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eddie Rock, 59, of Geneva, Florida, who left us on November 3, 2024. A beloved father, son, brother, and friend, Eddie's spirit will live on in the memories of all who knew him.

Born in Copiague, New York, on February 25, 1965, to Edward and Mary Rock, Eddie grew up surrounded by family and friends who adored his kind and outgoing nature. He was a man who could strike up a conversation with anyone, always with a smile and a positive attitude. He was known for his larger-than-life personality and his ability to bring warmth and light to any room he entered.

Eddie was the proud father of three children whom he raised with Lori Martin Rock: Michael Rock (Brie), Deanna Rock Gray (Brice), and Jessica Rock. He cherished his family deeply, and his children were the joy of his life. He was a loving brother to Paul Rock (Cheryl) and Donna Hushon (Michael).

As an entrepreneur, Eddie started his own business on Long Island, Advanced Line Striping, and ultimately moved himself and his business to Florida, where he became known for his work ethic and dedication to his craft. In his personal life, Eddie had a deep love for animals. His home was filled with the laughter of many cats, dogs, pigs, and goats, and he was known for his compassionate care of all creatures, big and small.

Eddie had a true passion for the open spaces of Florida, where he could enjoy the beauty of nature. He also had a deep love for classic cars, particularly his Skylark and Mustang, which he often spent time restoring and admiring. A fan of Rock & Roll, Eddie enjoyed seeing cover bands perform at local brew houses, where his infectious enthusiasm for music made him a regular face in the crowd.

Eddie’s legacy will be one of joy, kindness, and unwavering positivity. He was a friend to everyone he met and a true lover of life.

A memorial service will be held in Eddie’s honor at D'Andrea Bros. Funeral Home, 99 Oak Street, Copiague, NY, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 2:00-4:30 pm and 7:00-9:30 pm. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Thursday evening at 8:00pm. Interment will take place on Friday at Breslau Cemetery, Lindenhurst, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Eddie’s name to your local animal shelter, a cause that was dear to his heart.

Eddie Rock will be missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on forever.
