Pandemic Notes: The funeral home follows the guidelines set by the Governors' Office. We are limited to a maximum of 35 visitors inside the building. Entry is by ticket, which you will receive upon your entry. If we have reached capacity, visitors must remain outside until others leave. MASKS MUST BE WORN. Carolyn Tiringer, a long-time resident of Copiague, L.I., passed on Sunday, November 29th at the age of 78 years.
Carolyn was born in Brooklyn, New York to her late parents, Raphael and Rose Pacello. She was raised in Brooklyn, attending and graduating from Manual Training High School.
In her years of work, she served the Lindenhurst Public Schools as Secretary to the Superintendent. Her passions include her love for gardening and reading, Sudoku and enjoyed puzzles. She always had a jigsaw puzzle on her kitchen table. Carolyn found such joy in playing cards and Scrabble with her grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her beloved family – her children – Lara (Jason) Namors; Brent (Lisa); Kyle and Seth; her grandchildren – Kyle Tiringer, Alexa Ennis, Noah Tiringer, Jaden Tiringer, Cody Tiringer, Jeremiah Tiringer and Kai Tiringer; her great-grandson, Chase Tiringer; and her sister, Amelia Cutolo. Also surviving is her Aunt, Sandy Arno and her cousin, Edie Pellicano.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, December 3rd from 2:00 – 4:30 and 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. At 7:30, Deacon Phil Mills will offer the Catholic Wake Service. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday morning at 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Copiague. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
