He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara; his children, Doreen (Ed) Beckman, Renee (Curtis) Tienter, Jeannine (Tony) Schermann, Donald Block (Jennifer), Lisa (Brett) Belland; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Jolene (Mark) Carpentier; brother, Jerry Block; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Delores Block; brothers, Douglas Block and Robert Leet; and his beloved dog, Ricky.
He was always working with his hands… anything from putting up wallpaper or laying tile, to hanging pictures, finishing basements or building decks… whatever someone needed in order to make their house a home.
When he wasn’t working at Block’s Dairy Store or delivering ice, he was spending time with family and friends camping, relaxing on the pontoon on Lake George, or beating everyone at horseshoes or cornhole. Later in life, he enjoyed living as a snowbird in Apache Junction, AZ.
