William T. “Sonny” Leggett passed away December 28, 2016 in The Woodlands, TX. He was born November 25, 1940 in Conroe, TX to Guy R. and Helen M. James Leggett. Sonny was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He was a good standing member of the Conroe Masonic Lodge #748 and longtime pipeline and operating engineer. He was fortunate enough to travel the world extensively and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Those left to treasure his memory are his wife- Charlene Leggett of Conroe, TX, daughter- Tonya Rae Simmons and husband Ricky of Conroe, TX, step-sons- Christopher and Granvil Wade Kirkpatrick of New Caney, TX, and Jeffrey Callahan and wife Rita of Fort Hood, TX, grandsons- Ricky Ray Simmons of Tonkawa, OK and William Allen Simmons and wife Megan of San Diego, CA, and sister- Rosalee Middlebrook and husband Elmer of Sunset, LA. 6 other grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be Friday, December 30, 2016 at Metcalf Funeral Directors from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Services will be held at Metcalf Funeral Directors Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 1:00pm with interment to follow at County Line Cemetery.
