Bill was a true friend for me.  I admired him like few others.  A brilliant mind, a kind, thoughtful person of great integrity.

I send my sympathy to you and your family. I know it has been several years since I've seen the two of you.I don't get back to Conroe very often but try to keep up with what's going on thru Jaylon.I am deeply saddened to hear about Bill. My prayers are with you and all of the Owens family.

 What a blessing Bill has been to me, my family, and the Conroe Church of Christ. Through Bill's years of entertaining us we have laughed and cried.  What a funny, talented, gentle, man.  God is in for a real treat keeping company with Bill. Bill's knowledge of God's word is amazing and we are grateful for every class he has taught and for imparting that wisdom to us.  Bill & Charlott have been amazing partners in the Lord's work here and we will forever be grateful for the classes they have taught and  the years they spent in Bible hour sharing with our children and especially for their servant hearts. Every once in awhile you are touched by a person .. Well Mr.Bill was that very person. He was a man with a very strong voice.. He was very important with my spiritual growth . God has taken home a true soldier for the Lord.. It was a honor to know him.. He has an awesome family from Mrs.Charlotte his very Sweet wife and Ginger his daughter and the rest of his family.. Y'all are in my thoughts and prayers..

You and Bill have meant so much to me.  I have often thought of you over the years.  Growing up in the Conroe church, you blessed my life in many ways. I sat at Bill's feet over the years as he taught classes I attended. I returned home last December and I attended another class that Bill taught. You and Bill extended hospitality to many of us; we were welcome in your home. You both have always been wonderful Christian examples. Your faith was expressed in actions and not words alone.
My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time and may your faith carry you through this transition.

Dear sweet Charlott and all of the Owens family, We are so thankful for the imprint Bill left on our lives during our years in the Conroe area.  We always talk about the way Katy was mesmerized by his deep voice and always wanted him to hold her when she was a baby. We still remember the impact it had on us to hear Bill's deep voice reading the names identifying Jesus -- just felt like it was God himself speaking.  Although we know your loss is great, please find comfort in the beautiful memories of a godly life well lived and the many people  you have all touched as the Owens family.  Lifting you all in prayer to the Father who loves you.

The Conroe High Class of 1967 has lost another integral and valued member with Bill's passing. He was a friendly, intelligent and involved classmate. Bill always seemed to be ready for an audition with his well groomed physical presence and with his deep, raspy and dramatic voice. Most importantly, Bill was a good person.

Charlott and family, Bill lived a life of testimony for Christ through his service and through his teaching.  He left behind a legacy of faith, love and compassion.   No one can replace him in the community of Conroe and in our church.   "The memory of the righteous is a blessing".   Proverbs 10:7 NIV.   We are grieving with you.
