The funeral service will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
Pastor Randy Weaver of Lone Star Cowboy Church will be officiating.
Burial will follow the funeral at Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe, Texas at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
Sidney was born in Highlands, Texas, on October 9, 1953.
Sidney started his career operating dirt work machinery which led to heavy crane operations all around the Houston area for companies such as Brown and Root, Port of Houston, Ref Chem and others. He eventually moved into safety management role which would ultimately took him to Iraq for the Houston-based KBR. After his employment with KBR, Sidney decided to take his years of experience and start his own general contracting business, which he would operate until the time of his passing.
He was a member Lone Star Cowboy Church in Montgomery, Texas. During that time, he was involved with the Lone Star Beef program where he donated the calves from his black angus cattle to provide protein to feed the physical and spiritual hunger of those in need.
Sidney is survived by his wife Connie of 17 years; sons Michael Fields and wife Teresa, and Timothy Fields; step children Nick Hoover and wife Jennifer, Bianca Manuel and husband Doug; grandson Dalton Fields; step grand kids Jerry Jorge, Lili, Kaitlyn, Tristan and Henry; sisters Betty Powell and husband Doug, Maryette Chattam, Glenda Tyler and husband Gene and Virginia Barr and husband Donald; brothers Wayne Fontaine and wife Barbara and Bill Fontaine and wife Vickie, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sidney is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Mary Fields, sisters Dixie and Marie and brother Gene.
