Sarah Ann Schmidt (nee Crifasi) was lovingly welcomed through the eternal gates of heaven on Monday, November 3, 2014. Born in Shreveport, LA, in 1940, Sarah was a devoted daughter, loving sister, and a most cherished wife and homemaker, dear mother and grandmother. She attended LSU and was an avid tennis player, golfer, traveler and devoted many hours to her St. Vincent de Paul church life. Her faith was deep, her spirit kind, her affection for family and friends limitless. Sarah is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Rick, of Conroe, TX; sons Bryan (Christi) of Frisco, and Matt (Annie) of Dallas, and beloved grandson Grayson of Frisco; sister, Paula Miller (Larry, deceased), and brother, Peter Crifasi (Karen) all of Baton Rouge, LA, brother in laws, Dennis (Jill) of Loganville, GA and Cordell (Jean) of Merrillville, IN; along with many caring neighbors, friends and extended family. Sarah was predeceased by parents Peter and Mary Crifasi. Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, (801 Teas Road, Conroe) on Thursday, November 6, 2014, 5-9 p.m., Rosary at 7:00p.m. Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 7, Sacred Heart Catholic Church (109 North Frazier St, Conroe), reception to follow at church hall.
