Robin Rose Ayres, 54 of Conroe, Texas, passed away at her home on December 19, 2017. She persevered with courage and grace as she battled ovarian cancer the past 28 months. Robin was born April 9, 1963, in Petersburg, Virginia and was a 1982 graduate of Prince George High School. She married her high school sweetheart and soulmate, Robert Ayres on December 17, 1983. Together they resided in various states while Robert was in the United States Coast Guard until they took up permanent residence in Texas. Robin was a beautiful wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a wonderful daughter, a great sister, and a child of God. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 34 years, Robert Ayres; sons, Robert Todd Ayres of Conroe, Texas, and Kevin W. Ayres and wife Santanna of Conroe, Texas; twin grandchildren Noah and Charley Ayres; parents Robert Hunter Rose and Glenda Whitman Rose of Colonial Heights, Virginia; sister, Tammy Rose, nephew Alex Waltman, niece Kristen Rose Waltman all of Colonial Heights, Virginia. As a young girl Robin had a passion for dance. She started training at the age of four and continued with her love of dance until the age of 41. She trained in all dance genres, but had a special passion for ballet. At the young age of 17, Robin opened her own dance studio where she was the Dance Director/Choreographer at The Robin Lynn Rose Studio of Dance, in Wakefield, Virginia from 1980-1983. As a military wife, Robin continued her dance career in Honolulu, Hawaii, as the Director of Dance at United States Army Recreation Centers, and later while stationed in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Robin was the Owner and Director at Danceworks Gymnastics and Fitness Center. She continued her dance passion as her family was stationed in Miama, Florida, and Houston, Texas. In 2004, Robin gave up her dance career as she and her husband pursued their business and became co-founder of St. Joseph's Ambulance Service, Inc. She was co-owner and administrator for the business. She and her husband continued the success with entrepreneurship and later opened a Children's Lighthouse Learning Center in Montgomery, Texas in May 2017. Robin worked passionately researching and overseeing the franchise development of the Children's Lighthouse from the ground up all while battling her fight with cancer. Robin is member of The Church at Woodforest. A Celebration of Life service will be held at The Woodlands United Methodist Church on Friday, December 22, 2017, at 1:00pm with Pastors Brent Parker and Steve Gupton officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00 - 12:45pm. Entombment services will be held in the Garden Park Mausoleum at 2:30pm in Conroe, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance OCRFA.
