Robert Jennings Donaldson

Robert Jennings Donaldson passed away peacefully at home on the 25th of November 2021, after a long illness. He was born in Woodsville, Ohio to William and Marguerite Jennings Donaldson on March 27, 1926. He was predeceased by his stepdaughter, Jennifer Carter of Conroe, Texas, brothers, Bill and Wife Marg Donaldson, Ed and Wife Dorothy Donaldson of Michigan and sisters, Margaret Bourland, Grace Marsh and husband Paul of Michigan.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Jeanne Thornberry Donaldson of Conroe, Texas, sons, David Donaldson of Missouri, Paul Donaldson of New York, stepson, Evan Carter of Conroe, Texas, and daughter, Traci Shultz of California, as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Robert spent his early years in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, where he graduated from high school. He was very active in sports, hunting and fishing. His business life was spent in various areas of real estate with a broker’s license in California and Texas and as a right of way agent for all American. Pipeline in California and various oil companies in Houston and Louisiana.

The family would like to thank his caretakers with Penard Home Care and hospice care through Home Care Select, 1ST Choice Hospice of Huntsville, Texas.

There will be a funeral service at a later date and his ashes will be buried at Combs Cemetery in Combs, Arkansas.
