Richard "Dickie" Hartis

Funeral services for Richard “Dickie” Hartis will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Ark Church in Conroe, Texas with interment to follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 17, 2010 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Metcalf Funeral Directors.

Richard “Dickie” Hartis was born September 10, 1952 in Houston, Texas and passed away December 15, 2010 in Houston, Texas. He has been a resident of Montgomery County for the last 30 years. Dickie was a devoted, loving, caring provider for his wife of 41 years, children and grandchildren. He and his unforgettable laugh will live on through his legacy for years to come. He was an active lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and the Montgomery County Fair Association.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Dixie Hartis and brother Lawrence Whitworth. He is survived by his beloved wife Doris Hartis of Montgomery. Daughter Renee Moore and husband Bryan of Conroe. Son Richie Hartis and wife Tracie of Montgomery. Sisters Carole Lane and husband Don of Willis, and Shirley Gail Rogers and husband John of Montgomery. Brothers Wayne Whitworth and wife P.J. of Huffman, Raymond Hartis and wife Tena of Montgomery and Sister-in-law Edna of Crosby. Mother-in-law Betty Chipman. Grandchildren Logan Moore, Courtney Moore, Austin Hartis and Corey Hartis. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
