Born December 5, 1942 in Sharon, PA and was called home June 27, 2024. Ralph served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1967. He has been all over the world as the lead trumpet player in the Air Force Band, as well as being a bugler. His love of all music was a constant companion throughout his life. He had a beautiful baritone voice that led to his performances in numerous choral groups throughout his many years.
Although retired he had various occupations along the way, including Domtar Salt Mining in New Iberia, LA and retail at Sam’s Club in Conroe, TX. He was a gifted conversationalist to everyone with a wondrous fountain of knowledge. He was also gifted with any kind of computer. He was generous and loving and also very quick witted and spicy.
He leaves behind his spouse of 38 years, Vicky Lee Arbuckle of Willis, Texas, two daughters, Nikol L. Romero and husband Sonny Romero and Trisha J. Beard both of New Iberia, LA; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is survived by his two sisters, Arlene and husband Bob Saltzman of Cortland, OH and Stella Filer of Smethport, PA.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Waldo Arbuckle and Phyllis Pearce Arbuckle, his in-laws, Boyce Ray Reed and Clara Shuler Reed, as well as a great grandson, Landyn Sage Burke. A special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice and Pax Tuscany for the remarkable tender care extended to the family and Ralph in his last days. Cashner Funeral Home is in charge of his final arrangements.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
