Peggy June Thompson 1937 -2020 was called home by the Lord on December 6th at the age of 83 in Spring Texas. Peggy was born in Dyersburg Tennessee. She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Her sense of humor and wit lit up a room.
Peggy was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee September 15th, 1937 the daughter of George and Muriel Finley. She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Donald Thompson, her brother George Finley and sister Ola Sue Criswell. Peggy and Donald raised three children, Harold, Beth and Richard. They lived in Monroe, LA and Houston, TX. She is survived by:
Children Harold Thompson and Wife Faye - Texas, Beth Miller and husband Craig - Georgia, Richard Thompson - Texas. Grandchildren: Cody Manly, Don Thompson, David Thompson, Abby Fallis, Kyle Thompson, Brooke Miller & Blakely Thompson. Great Grandchildren: Finley, Harper, Adeline, Hope & Freya.
Peggy was a member of Cumming First United Methodist Church in Cumming, GA. She volunteered over 10 years at her local hospital in the transport department. She had a love for animals, started a dog grooming business in Monroe, LA and continued in the industry for 25 years.
A visitation for Peggy will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 E White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas with a funeral service immediately following at noon. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Forest Park Memorial Cemetery in The Woodlands, TX.
