PJ It's hard to believe it's been 2 years. Sure do miss you! 

PJ, I am sitting here looking at the picture on my wall of you (Larry) Bill Miller  (Curly) and Randy Ferguson (Mo)  that you all took in Luckenbach. Sure do miss you PJ things are just not the same around here. I lost a true friend and mentor  when you went to Heaven. It doesn't feel like a whole year has passed it seems like yesterday when I was talking to you on the phone. I know you hated that they were making that electric  lightning truck and mine will be in this week and I can still hear you saying why do you want one of those. I think you might of been impressed with it but also know you would never of bought one for yourself. It saddens me to have to say I lost 3 great men in my life within a year You Randy Robertson and my father in law Lee Williams. I miss and Love You and will be thinking of you and all the memories. 

To The Jannes Family: I just found out today of Paul's passing.  I am truly sorry to hear of Paul's passing. What a tragedy it is to hear this. May God comfort you always.  I called on Paul at Tommie Vaughn and he always welcomed me every time.  A true Pioneer in our Industry especially in the Houston Area and a man I could call friend. There are definitely big shoes to fill in his place. He would always shoot you straight and he did not have any filters because he was firm but always fair. Please accept my condolences.

I only got to know PJ for the past few years when I started working with him on wholesale parts. I knew I had big shoes to fill, he was very close with my predecessor.  He welcomed me warmly. I always enjoyed coming by the offices monthly to visit with you and Tamie. You always welcomed me. My favorite visit was when you were cooking baked beans and seemed so happy and carefree, you even sent me with a big bowl to-go! I was devastated to learn about you passing. You will be greatly missed. I will keep peddling your parts and checking in on Tamie and Jerry for you!

I spent several hours trying to come up with a speech to share about my dad.  But, how do you even begin to write a speech when you have a million memories floating through your head about the greatest man you ever knew?!  So instead, I just want to say thank you.  Thank you to my Daddy for being my provider, caretaker, teacher, shoulder-to-cry-on, cheerleader and hero [and so much more]!

I’m going to miss your texts saying let’s take the girls to Dairy Queen or just popping by to say hi.  I’m going to miss you laughing at MY dad jokes like what do you call a cow that can’t give milk anymore?  An udder failure!  

I’m going to miss you for countless reasons, but for those reasons I can count on you always being in my heart.

Paul was a father figure I did not have in my life. He taught me a great deal about NASCAR and we could talk mechanics of cars watching the Sunday car shows before the races started. Worked on the house together to get things done. Grab a Bubba Burger and then go have a beer. For all that knew him, he was a kind and giving gentleman. He liked his family to have BBQs and all get together. I would BBQ and he would direct whilst having a cold one with me. 
I am glad I had the opportunity to go to a NASCAR race with him. He took me for the first time to the races which were spectacular. 
I know he cared very much for his family and his work family at Tommy Vaughn Ford. I know he will be looking over us and taking care of us from Heaven. I am going to miss him along with his family and all of his friends.


Paul was a delight to work with at TVF, a true gentleman and friend.  He will be greatly missed by his family, co-workers, and friends.

Paul. You was not only my father n law. You was more like a best friend.  Going on trips and working on things around the house or asking advice on stuff I was unsure of.  Paul we love you and going to miss you dearly.  

I remember he always talked to me as if he was giving me advice and it was usually about me not wearing my helmet when I rode my motorcycle. If I asked for advice on what to buy for my bike, he always had an answer. Heck, I think at one point we even had the same Harley. Thank you sir for your kind words and the blessings to get to know you. You will be missed and your knowledge given to me will forever be held close.

It is still difficult for me to  believe I will never talk to Paul again. We had a lot in common. Both of us have three daughters, are Ford men, & could never leave anything stock. From trucks, cars for his daughters, & all his Harleys. We built decks, sidewalks, & removed the too many pine trees he had. Paul was my boss since 2000, & a co worker since 79, or 80. But was always a friend first. My condolences for your family's loss. 


I still can't believe you are gone. I was 13 when you came into my life. I have such wonderful memories of you. Never once did you make me feel unwanted. You always treated me like family and you were always looking out for me. I'm going to miss you so much. Thank you for everything Paul.

 It saddens me to hear of your passing. Thank you for being a great boss, of 18 years, as well as a friend.  I appreciate all our talks & all you did for me.  May you Rest peacefully in Heaven. I can see that big, wide grin. God Bless you.

These goes way back early 1970 when paul& I work at Lincoln/mercury. 
On are spare time always working on something. Engines/ different exhaust to go fast and sound like a stock car.
Than TEXAS made many trips down south 
Yep soup up the engine on my van conversion also exhaust something on 2003 mach mustang. 
The good old days seem like yesterday

My husband and I worked at Tommy Vaughn Ford.Paul was our boss.Paul was the best boss I have ever had in my life.Wounderful man.My husband Craig Cook and I Doris Cook love Paul like family.We send our Condolences to his family. Prayers, Rest In Peace Paul gone too  soon.You will be missed by many.

Paul's favorite sport was NASCAR. To compete in this car racing sport, you must be a spirited competitor. Well, Paul did not compete, but he was certainly the most spirited fan. 
Where Paul did compete, was the rough and tumble world of parts sales. where many competitors raced to sell hundreds of thousands of dollars of parts, Paul raced to sell millions of dollars. 
The only part of NASCAR that Paul disliked was finishing the race slowly, under the yellow caution flag. Rest assured that Paul did not run his last lap under caution. He raced hard and fast to the very end of his race on this earth
You were truly a winner Paul...

Just found out today about the loss of a great man he has been a great custamer of mine for many yrs we shared a lot of good stories and he shared his wisdom i'm so sorry for your loss.  

The one thing I remember about Paul is he always cared. Every time I saw him he always asked “how are you doing Lexi” I can still hear his voice. He always had a smile on his face and he loved the animals for sure! It will be hard to go to any event without your face there. We will miss you Paul

So many memories, where do I start…. The dogs that hated me and one of y’all would have to walk me in the house to use the restroom, the jet skiing at Lake Somerville or the Party we to Craig to and got in trouble, I could go on and on. PJ was an amazing father, grandfather and friend he will be greatly missed! May he Rest In Peace. Thanks for the memories PJ.

Your family and my family has had so many great times through the years and the memories of those times together will never be forgotten.  You've been a good friend and a great brother in law. I'm so glad we had a chance to chat on our birthday since we both were born on April 3. That meant the world to me.  God bless you.

I just wanted to say that I'm very sorry for the loss of Paul Jannes to his family and friends. I worked many years at Ford racing and Paul was a wonderful wonderful client he was so patient and understanding. I will miss our conversations he was truly a gentleman and I will miss him

I don't know if anyone ever feels like they have enough time, but I truly wasn't ready for you to go so soon.  I miss you  more than I have words for.  But I am glad for our talks, especially this year, and I am so grateful for all that you taught and gave me throughout life...you graciously accepted me when I was a baby, and you taught me what kind of person I wanted to be--personally and professionally.  I learned so much by watching you, and I hope that I have made you proud over the years.  I hope you are finally taking a well earned vacation up in heaven--if you see mom, grandma and grandpa, Marilyn and my dogs, please give them all a hug from me and know that I send my love to you all...and one day I will see you again. We can split a Diet Dr. Pepper.  I love you daddy--you always tried hard to be a good person and do the right thing, and you are every bit a hero as the guys on the old westerns you used to watch were. Love forever.

I will truly miss you. You were a wonderful Boss and a even better friend you were always there for me.  You were a amazing father who loved his 3 daughters with all your heart. I still can hear you talk about how proud you were of all 3 of them and their accomplishments in life. You loved spending time with your son in laws  riding shooting all the manly stuff you guys do.  

My condolences to Paul's family. I'm a retired Ford Rep. Paul always treated me well, he was a great guy. Sorry for your loss.

I met you first when I was 17 or 18. I came into the parts department in search of a clutch for a very old Fordson tractor. You helped me hunt one down in Houston. Years later I came to work at Tommie Vaughn. Thank you for all of your help through the years. Enjoyed our Harley Davidson talks. You were always a stand up man. The world is at a loss without your presence. God speed sir!
