Kay Ann Martin, age 79, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Kay was born August 21, 1941 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Albert and Neva Ann (Worm) Walters and her aunt Ella Marie Warm.
She is survived by her sister Phyllis Brenneman of Katy, TX and her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Charlotte Walters of South Padre Island, TX; her daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and David Harper of Des Moines, IA; son Dave Martin of Austin, TX; and daughter Nicole Martin of The Woodlands, TX. She is also survived by her granddaughter Aubrey (Phil) Simmons of Clive, IA; grandson Zach (Lindsey) Harper of Des Moines, IA; and granddaughter Molly (Garret) Hoover of Salt Lake City, Utah; and her 5 great-grandchildren, Harper, Amelia, Elam, and Ezra Simmons and Lona Harper.
Kay spent much of her working life as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed collecting her Danish plates and figurines, and going to antique malls with her sister and daughters. She loved reading, especially historical novels. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
Kay was a faithful member of Grace Crossing Community Church of Christ.
A celebration of life for Kay will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Grace Crossing Church, 105 FM 1488, Conroe, Texas 77384.
