Joan A. Dunn

Joan A. Dunn, born September 21, 1929, passed away on October 15, 2016, at the age of eighty-seven. She was a loving wife of fifty-one years. She was always supportive of her husband's business ventures.They loved to play golf, bowl and square dance. Mom was the glue that held the family together through twenty-two state moves and four foreign assignments. Her most important job was to take care of her family, especially her cats. She was the perfect mom who was the Girl Scout leader, homeroom mother and seamstress for all of her girls numerous costumes. She was a child prodigy on the trumpet and played at Radio City Music Hall at age five. Preceded in death by Fred B. Dunn, Joan is survived by daughters Nancy and husband Glenn Schlather, Wendy L. Dunn Treacy , Debbie L. Dunn Cummings and husband R. E. Morris and nephew Chris Carrington and wife Liz and children. The family greatly appreciates all of Mom's caregivers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to any Alzheimers or animal charity of choice. Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral service for Joan A. Dunn will be held at the Cashner Colonial Chapel on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 12:30pm.
