Dan and family, I had been hunting the internet for Janice but found her 2 weeks to late. My memoiers of our years together in the navy have stayed with me all these years. So sorry to  read of your loss.

How many couples can say they shared their lives for over 50 years-not many. Having Jan as a dear friend has been a treasure to me. She will always be in my memory

My thoughts and love are always with you Grandpa. I will miss her always!

Knowing Janice is gone leaves a hole in my life.  She was my friend for 43 years.
We have had some wonderful times together. Kept in touch no matter where 
we were.  She gave me a plaque for xmas
a couple of years ago that always brings her to mind for me.  It says 'A
friend hears the song in my heart and 
sings it back to me when my memory fails."  We always joked about the
memory failing.  I will miss our phone
calls and our card games and our talks.
Rest in peace, dear friend, I miss you

Dearest Uncle Dan, Kim, Danny and Patrick and your family, Our hearts are broken with heartfelt memories and sorrow. May Peace be on all of you! Auntie Jan was an Angel and Our beloved Guardian Angel. Uncle Dan, you and Auntie Jan have been apart of our family for many years, have many cherished memories, are thankful for your constant. These are a few of my favorite things: BFF's to Mom and Dad; auntie and mommy to me and de; failing brownies; sleepovers; the beach; babysitters; drive in movies in your station wagon; The Sound of Music; San Diego; Tijuana; Cousin Martin, Auntie Eloise, Uncle Rick and Aunt Alice; sharing Papa and Grandma Gearns; Disneyland; Mom and Auntie bowling for wigs; cherished family heirlooms Made By Auntie Jan; Christmas Eve at your house (dishes); San Francisco; San Jose; Napa; Jan, Mom and Brenda with Sears; family gatherings and your unconditional love for one another. Dear Uncle Dan, 
I miss Aunty Jan  and miss you both thank you for being apart of our families lives

Aunt Jan was a truly beautiful person, inside and out. She was fun and talented, accepting and loving. 

I treasure my childhood memories of my wonderful Aunt. The camping trip Mom, Mickey and I took with Aunt Jan and Uncle Dan. Going to Disney. Mom and Aunt Jan shucking the scallops that were gathered. The 2 weeks Mickey and I spent one summer in St Peter. The bunny we were allowed to take home from our trip to the flea market. 

Her talent shone in  the wonderful ceramic pieces she created. The pieces I was blessed to receive will forever be cherished.

I am so grateful my children got to know her. She never forgot to send them a special card every holiday. She always sent fun postcards from her travels. She sent envelopes filled with tour brochures, giving my children a glimpse of the world through her eyes. She let all us know we were her special "little Birds." 

I am saddened by the loss of such a beautiful spirit, however, I take comfort in knowing there are holes in the floor of Heaven. I know she is with Grandma watching over us all.

   As you know, I am one of Janice's/Jan's newer friends. I loved her immediately!  It was like I'd always known her.
   Some of my best times with her included losing to her at games(every time!), giggling and full blown laughter at anything and everything, shopping, genealogy,  book sharing, and of course, her very classy meals and social hours.
   I'm sad that our time together was short but I'm grateful for the time we shared as friends.
   Her last RV trips with Dan were an inspiration to me. Jan truly went for the Gusto!
   As I'm trying to, I hope you can find comfort and strength in remembering your best times with my friend Jan.

I have been blessed to know Jan for only 4 years, but she became one of my closest friends during that short time span.  We'd giggle, go shopping, find some good place to eat, tell deep dark secrets that will never be repeated, giggle some more, and then go get our "toes done".  She was such a wonderful listener and shared with me pearls of wisdom stemming from many life lessons and a loving marriage.  She had the knack of saying just what needed to be said to different folks through times both good and bad.  Jan was just a very special, beautiful woman, one that I was privileged to know. I will miss her so much, looking forward to the day where I will see her again in Heaven and we can pick up right where we left off.

Dan our hearts go out to all the family and were all blessed to have you in our lives. We  have 50 years of great memories together and know Jan will be looking out for us all. I will miss our calls and emails and t hose talks that  I will miss so much. You had a great life and did it together always.You have been a great husband and Jan loved you with all her  heart. We will always be with you and we will all be together one day.Love you,Dorothy

Remembering our time at the "out door adventure" in Hatch, Utah.  Janice was always ready with snacks at happy hour!  They were delicious and she said they were "semi home made"..Ever after I always thought of her and introduced her as my friend "Sandra Lee" of the semi home made T V show.  She was a treasure and will be missed by so many - put us at the top of that list!  Our hearts go out to you, Dan.

Dan. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Janice was a wonderful wife, a caring and loving mother to Daniel and a loving grandmother to her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. I am honored to be your Daughter-in-law and to have known Janice as my mother-in-law. Please Know that your Son and I love you very much. you have family and friends all around you who love you very much and are here for you to lean on when ever you need us. Janice will always be in our hearts and on our minds never to be forgotten. You and Dan can take comfort in knowing that she is no longer experiencing any pain or suffering and that she is in a peaceful place now. We love her and miss her dearly. The void that you feel in your heart right now will heal in time. Take comfort in the many wonderful memmories you have made in the 54 years you were together. Think of the many adventures you both shared in your travels abroad together, living your dream. Time really will heal. Just give it time.

I remember digging for clams at the beach on the Strand many, many moons ago!  Even more memorable was eating them after Jan had prepared them.  Great memories!

I'll never forget you and the love you extended to Susan and I and made us part of your loving family, Enjoy your Heavenly Home Janice Lee.

Dan we know how difficult this time is in your life. Janice was such a loving wife,  mother and friend. A loss to all of us but especially to those close to her. 54 years was something dear to her heart in married life to you. Such a support and pillar in her family's life. A testament of her love and loyalty. Remembering her when she was young and healthy will be forever in your memory as it also will be in Jehovah's. He knows every detail about her and will have the joy of bringing her back in the resurrection. No longer will she see anger or distress in the world or experience aging. She will be youthful and full of vigor on a beautiful renewed earth.
