Born in January 21, 1940 in Goshen, New York. James was adopted as a young boy by Margaret and James Pinter and sister Noeline Pinter.
James is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lynda Pinter and his three loving children, Tammy J. Cronin, Carol Pinter and Shane Pinter and spouses Michael Cronin and Christina Bennett, granddaughters Kim Gomez and Brittney Julian and husband Tim Julian, great granddaughter Hunter Julian, niece and nephew Chris Gillian and Stormy Gillian and husband Travis Tedrow, grandnephews Teagan and Taylor Tedrow.
James served in the U.S. Navy after completing high school. James and his family lived in Lindenhurst, New York for 42 years before moving back to Lynda’s home state where they have spent the past 15 years.
While attending high school he sang in the school choir and picked up the saxophone. This was his gateway to becoming a remarkable entertainer. He traveled across the US from New York City to Jersey and Texas to name a few. He later became a booking agent and health club trainer.
He and his wife loved the Lord, and were baptized and attended the Woodlands Church. While living in New York James always loved the water. He was a prolific skier and taught his three children how to ski. Always the adventurer, he loved jumping in the car and seeing the beautiful New England states. Being a health enthusiast, you would find him at the gym most days.
His girls and grandchildren were lucky to inherite his musical talents while his son shared the love of sports together.
In his last seven years, James suffered from a cerebral stroke that left him paralyzed from the waist down and dealing with Parkinson’s. Even though with this devastating situation, he never lost his sense of humor or chance to tell a corny joke.
Last, but not least we would like to thank the nurses, doctors, VA facility, Traditions Hospice for their loving care.
