Evelynn Ann Elmore, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died peacefully at home on December 13, 2024 at the age of 83. She grew up in Willis, Texas and graduated from Conroe High School and Sam Houston State University.
Eve was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Conroe. She was involved with the Priceless Gowns Ministry and used her talents to create beautiful library window displays. Eve enjoyed spending time with her dear friends and cousins celebrating birthdays and special events. Many people will remember receiving Eve’s inspirational cards of support and encouragement.
Eve was preceded in death by her parents, C.A. and Mina Johnson, and her husband, Barkley Elmore. She leaves behind her sons, Kyle and Bubba Elmore and their wives, Leigh Ann and Nic, as well as granddaughters, Jessica, Julia, Sarah and husband Josh, and great granddaughter, Eva, all of whom she treasured.
A visitation for Evelynn will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 E White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas, followed by a celebration of life at 10:00 AM.
Evelynn will be laid to rest in Old Waverly Cemetery, New Waverly, Texas.
