On August 4, 2014, Doris Cunzeman Heins passed away peacefully in her sleep. Born on January 27, 1923, she was 91 years old. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother to her family, and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Frederick and Dora Elizabeth Cunzeman, and also by her husband of over 60 years, Robert H. Heins. Doris was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, and moved to Texas when her husband was transferred to Beaumont in 1961. She loved to bowl, play bridge, and eat soft-shelled crabs. She could pick a crab faster than anyone in the family. She always dreamed of going to Hawaii, and was fortunate to visit the islands in 1977. Doris is survived by daughter, Susan Heins of Houston, son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Connie Heins of Spring, daughter, Patty Robson of Conroe, and granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Amanda and Nathan Monteleone of Fort Worth. Being a grandparent was one of Doris’s greatest joys. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cashner Colonial Chapel, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303, on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at 12:30 P.M. Family will receive friends at 11:30 A.M. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, a tribute, in her name, to one of these charities would be an honor to her memory: The Wounded Warriors, The Audubon Society, Local Animal Shelters or Humane Society. If you would like to leave a written tribute please go to www.cashnerconroe.com.
