Constance S. O'Connor, beloved Mother, daughter, sister, Nana and caring friend passed away on November 20, 2018. Connie was born on November 1, 1947, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was a single mother who did everything she could to ensure the success of her daughters. She was the hardest working woman you will ever meet, and at some points in her career she worked three jobs to take care of her daughters. She worked as an X-Ray Technician at Conroe Regional Medical Center for 32 amazing years, a fact of which she was extraordinarily proud, where she helped mentor and train her fair share of young X-Ray Technicians. Shortly before she retired, she was thrilled to move to CRMC's imaging center where she was a multi-modality technician performing CT Scans and X-rays. She was a loyal confidant to those who called her a friend. She took in stray dogs, cats and the occasional teenager who needed a bonus mom. About six years ago she had several strokes which forced her into retirement, but she was proud of her recovery and the progress she made to continue living in her own home with her "little dogs" that she loved so much. Though the strokes altered her life, she maintained her same funny and very sarcastic personality. She loved her grandchildren dearly, was passionate about participating in Relay for Life with her X-Ray buddies, loved to read, shop and go bowling, and was crazy about her little dogs. Connie will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Connie is survived by her two daughters Molly and Erin and four grandchildren, who called her Nana, and is also survived by her father, Bruce Shrader, and brother and sister-in-law, David and Debbie Shrader. Connie is preceded in death by her mother, Ersel Jean Shrader. A time of remembrance will be held for Connie Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. A celebration of life reception to follow at West Conroe Baptist church in the Garden Room, 1855 Longmire Rd, Conroe, TX 77304.
