Chris was born November 16, 1973, in Houston, Texas to parents James Winifred Goodman and Sharon Cherry Goodman.
Chris graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, all while balancing a full-time job and the joys of raising two small children. A passionate and vibrant individual, Chris found immense joy in photography and dedicated her time to volunteering at the Montgomery County Fair, where she served as a member of the Fair Board of Directors and held the position of Chairman of the Senior Citizens Homemaking show. Her commitment and hard work were recognized when she was awarded Committeewoman of the Year.
Yet, the greatest joy in Chris's life came from being a devoted mother. She cherished every moment spent attending her children's soccer games and cheer competitions, reveling in their growth into the remarkable young adults they are today. Together, they created countless unforgettable memories through trips and adventures.
In her spare time, Chris immersed herself in photography, skillfully capturing the essence of every cherished moment. Her talent for photography allowed her to preserve the beauty of life’s fleeting moments, ensuring that each memory would last a lifetime.
Chris is preceded in death by her parents James Goodman and Sharon Goodman, and her brother James “Jimmy” William Goodman.
She is survived by her beloved children, Hayden Feist of College Station and Madysen Feist of Huntsville. Her legacy also lives on through her siblings: Tony Goodman and his wife Tiffany of Shepherd, Janie Edwards of Houston, and Rick Goodman and his wife Holli of Houston. Chris cherished her nieces and nephews, including Nicole Vaughn and her husband James, Shelby Hall, Katie Campbell, Julie Cook and her husband Gage, as well as Hunter Goodman, Bryson Goodman, and Steffan Cosakis and his wife Rachel.
In addition, she leaves behind a host of great-nieces and great-nephews: Cheyenne Vaughn, LJ Vaughn, Jamie Grace Goodman, Sage Cosakis, Mila Cosakis, Raelynn Hall, and Liam Palmer. Chris was also surrounded by many other family members and dear friends, all of whom will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Chris's funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 10am, with a visitation on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 5-7pm, at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas with Zack Currie officiating. Entombment will be at Garden Park Cemetery in the Mausoleum in Conroe, Texas, following the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Hunter Goodman, Bryson Goodman, Brayden Vest, Derek Wright, Colby Forrester and Gentry Scott.
