Bill and Noreen were married May 8, 1993 and are now continuing their eternal journey together in heaven as they passed away on February 20th. 2022. They were lifetime educators, loving parents, and wonderful friends. Bill and Noreen will forever be in all our hearts, and we will never forget the joy and laughter they brought each other and to everyone they knew.
Bill was born January 15th 1966, in Charleston S.C. Bill is preceded in death by his father Donald B. Burger, and step-father, Vincent J. Cahill, Jr., his brother Robert Bruce Burger, his step-brother Vincent J Cahill, III. Bill is survived by his mother, Barbara Cahill, son Michael, and one brother, three sisters. Bill attended Methacton Area Schools grades one through twelve in Montgomery County, PA. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education at Texas A&M University and his Master of Education from Prairie View A&M.
Noreen was born February 26, 1963, in Mexico City, Mexico. She attended St. Cecilia Catholic School, St. Agnes Academy in Houston, Texas and then proceeded to earn her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at Sam Houston State University. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Margaret Donna and is survived by her four brothers, and Michael her son. Most of all, they are both survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; along with fellow teachers, alumni, students and some very close dear friends.
Bill served 30 consecutive years in Spring Branch Independent School District as a teacher and a administrator. For the past 11 years, Bill served as the Cornerstone Academy Assistant Director. Noreen served 25 years in Spring Branch Independent School District. She spent 18 years at Buffalo Creek Elementary and retired in 2020. She returned to Buffalo Creek as a substitute teacher the past year and a half.
Their Funeral Services have been arranged for family and friends to be held Friday, March 18th, 2022 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc Drive, Houston, TX, 77024. A rosary will be recited at 9:30am, with the Funeral Mass at 10:30am, followed by a reception at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church Community Center from 12:00 to 2:00pm. Internment private family services will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
