She was born in Bossier City, Louisiana on April 26, 1971 to the union of Marvin Lee Tanner and Pamela Zapalac Tanner.
Angela was a loving mother, daughter, wife, and friend to all she knew. She is admired for her free spirit with a powerful passion for life. Her love of art, music, and cooking were very important to her. She was an entrepreneur and artist. Select pieces of her art have been displayed in art shows and galleries. Her dedication and enthusiasm helped her when embarking in the professions of design and construction of party props, the hotel industry, office management with veterinary clinics and 8 years of service teaching children at a charter school in Austin, Texas. Being “Mom” to her daughter, Melody Starr, was her most important job of all! Her passion and love for her will never be forgotten!
Some nicknames that followed her through the years are “Toughy Tanner”, “Too Tall T”, and most recently “Angus”. She was unique and her reputation preceded her in many ways. No matter what life threw her way, with much determination and perseverance, she never gave up on life.
Angela was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Lee Tanner, maternal grandparents Martin H. Zapalac, Jr., Jean L. Ratcliff, Teresa A. Zapalac, paternal grandfather, Joseph M. Tanner, and first cousins, Michael D. Walston and Shawn J. January.
