A. J. Thibodeaux Sr.

Aubrey James Thibodeaux, Sr., 72 of Conroe passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at his home. A.J. was born February 21, 1945 in Rayne, Louisiana to Clesma and Agnes Thibodeaux. A.J. served in the Louisiana National Guard from 1962 to 1969. He was a Vice President of Blume Tree Service, Inc with 35 years of service and worked at Crop Production Services for 20 years.

A.J. enjoyed being outdoors, his hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, playing golf and traveling, but nothing compared to spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Conroe. His other memberships included the Texas Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture and he served as a board member of the Texas Vegetation Management Association where he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010.

A.J. was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Addie Lantier. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie, daughter, Monica Lynn Russell, sons, Aubrey James Thibodeaux, Jr. and wife, Troylene, and Michael Wade Thibodeaux and wife, Christie, and brother, Odin Thibodeaux. Also by his grandchildren, Jennifer Lanham, Christopher Thibodeaux, Courtney Thibodeaux, Logan Thibodeaux, Aubrey Russell, Tommy Kennedy, Tim Kennedy and Tiffany Papagno, great grandchildren, Audrey Thibodeaux, Lucas Thibodeaux, Cheyenne Lanham, Lane Lanham, Sarah Lanham, Grace Kennedy, Lily, Alexis, Benjamin and Kyle Papagno.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at the Cashner Funeral Home Colonial Chapel.
