William Mitchell Roark Sr.

He was born October, 27, 1943 to the late Leonard Wood Roark and Minnie Alice Vaughan Cox of Virginia. Bill was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Conover, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Patricia F. Roark; son, William Mitchell Roark, Jr. and his partner, Charlie M. Hodges, of Morganton, NC; daughter, Lisa R. Lackey and husband, Derek, of Morganton, NC; brother, Charlie Roark of Providence, NC; brother-in-law, Larry O. Fox of Conover; sister Ann Holbrook and husband, James, of Pelham, NC; grandson, Jakob Lackey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Conover, NC. Reverend Peggy Stout will officiate. Burial will follow in Conover City Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
