Born on December 18, 1937 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Sydney Bumgarner and Ella Bumgarner. Shirley was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Conover.
Those left to cherish her memory are her fiancé and soulmate of 30 years, Joe Warren; children, Pam Hunsucker and husband, Roger of Conover, Kim Cooke of Newton, Rory Hinson of Newton, and Dawn Cooke and husband, Bryan of Hickory; grandchildren, Eric Hunsucker and wife, Gay, April Sigmon and husband, Sean, Cassie Cooke, Kevin Cooke, Amber Ingle, Amanda Hoke and husband, Travis, Shelby Osborne, and Brandon Hinson; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Bowman, Jaden Ingle, Taylor Sigmon, Zahra Hoke, Madyson Ingle, Corbyn Hoke, Sean Sigmon, Jr., and Allison Sigmon.
A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Conover with Rev. Rudy A. DeRosa officiating.
Roger Hunsucker, Eric Hunsucker, Sean Sigmon, Bryan Cooke, Hayden Acuri, and Randy Teague will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:15 p.m. until 12:45 at the church.
