Katherine "Kathy" Lee (Ham) Wilson

Katherine “Kathy” Lee Ham Wilson, age 72, of Maiden, NC, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born on February 16, 1949 in Ashe County, she was the daughter of the late Roger Ham and Virginia Marie Howell Ham.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donny Wayne Wilson; and a brother, Roger F. Ham, Jr.

She was retired from Hooker Furniture in Maiden where she met her late husband, Donny Wilson. Kathy was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Newton.

Left to cherish her memory are brother, Allen Ham and wife, Teressa; sisters, Virginia Hinkley, Vivian Gilliam and husband, Gary; Cindy Ham, Carla Simmons and husband Brent, Jonnie Watts and husband, Leonard; three stepsons, Donny, Jr. Derek, and Ashley Wilson; grandchildren, Brittany Wilson, Cheyenna Wilson, Virginia Wilson, Cassandra Wilson, and Cody Wilson; great-grandchildren, Allianna, Allen, Dalton, and Lucian; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Sandy McHugh for her care of Kathy.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
