Aileen Virginia Huffman

Born August 30, 1924 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie V. Hefner and Alice Lail Hefner. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover and was a seamstress in the textile industry.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Jerald Lee Huffman; brother, Fred Hefner; sisters, Ruby Spencer and Katie Burrus.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Harvey Eugene Huffman; daughter, Kaye Huffman Matthews; brother, Keith Hefner; sisters, Helen Bumgarner, Betty Ervin, Vivian Sipe, Lucille Johnson and husband, Carroll, Ruth Laffon; grandchildren, Tracy Teague, David Crouse, Beth Ramsey, Bryan Huffman, Mandy Huffman; great-grandchildren, Olivia Teague Morgan, Benjamin Teague and Jordan Crouse.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kent Teague, David Crouse, Chris Ramsey, Benjamin Teague, Jordan Crouse and Cory Morgan.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m.
