 Obituario de Richard Eugene Lutes
Richard E. Lutes, 87, of Connersville, died Saturday, July 20, 2024, at his residence. Richard was born May 23, 1937, in Rush County to Andy Lutes and Hazel Hartman; he was later adopted and raised by Earl and Margaret Giles. He was a 1955 graduate. Richard was employed for over thirty-five years at D & M, and later went on to work for Hassler for over ten years. Richard lived his life as a minimalist; he did not condone waste by any means. He enjoyed the simplicity of life, taking trips through the countryside, or enjoying a Jerry’s pizza with his family when they came to visit. Richard was a phenomenal chef, his Spanish hamburger, rolls, and soups are recipes that his family will cherish and hand down to future generations. An avid western fan, you could always find Richard’s television on to any classic western when you went into his home. His most treasured moments were made with his family, including mushroom hunts to Michigan, that he and his sons had done for thirteen consecutive years. Richard will be remembered by his family for his immeasurable love for each and every one of them. Richard is survived by his children and their spouses: Lori Springer and Chauncey of Lynn; Troy Lutes and Stacey of Lynn; Kevin Lutes and Cathy of Astatula, Florida; Lisa Bloom and Dale of Connersville; Tammy Lutes of Kentucky; grandchildren and their spouses: Tara Spalding and Jayson, Joshua Lutes, Austin Lutes, Garrett Anderson, Ashley Warren and Steven; La’Shea Gibson and Ronnie, grandson in-law: Brian Smith; Erin Geary and Allan, Elena Godsey and Stephen; Amanda Bross and Jon, Ryan Lutes and Jordan; Chris Bloom and Ashley, Emily Judd and Clayton, Ian Bloom, Gracie Bloom; twenty-five great- grandchildren, with two on the way. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville with Bobby Lee officiating.
