Ramona was born July 14, 1930 in Rush County, IN to Ottis and Dorothy Morrell Noble. She had lived in the Everton community and resided in Louisville, KY the past ten years. In 1948, Ramona graduated from Arlington High School in Rush County. She had been employed as a secretary at Everton School, the branch bank in Everton and at Lewis Insurance Agency in Connersville. Ramona enjoyed quilting, reading and working puzzles. She was a member of the Douglass Boulevard Christian Church in Louisville, a member of the Brookville Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #449 for over 50 years and a former member of the Everton Lioness Club.
In addition to her parents, Ramona was preceded in death by her first husband: Willard L. “Bill” Friend; her daughter: Vicky Friend Sympson; and two brothers: David and John Noble.
Ramona is survived by her daughter: Becky Lewis Bingner and her husband, Ron of Oxford,, Mississippi; her sister: Beth Kincaid, with whom she had had made her home; two brothers: Norman Noble of Knightstown, IN; Lowell Noble and his wife, Linda of the Orange community; three grandchildren: Emily Bingner of Oxford, MS; Allison Bingner of Lexington, KY; Kyle Sympson of Bloomington, IN; a great-grandson: Kayden Sympson; her sister-in-law: Clara Noble of Connersville; nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Ramona’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Reverend Jim Orr, officiating. Interment will follow in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 noon Friday until the time of the service where memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
