Danny W. Evans

Danny W. Evans, 67, of Connersville died, April 30, 2022 at Reid Health in Connersville. He was born to Arthur and Jessie Gabbard Evans in Rushville on August 24, 1954. Danny attended Connersville High School and graduated with the class of 1972. He was a diesel mechanic in the United States Army, where he was awarded several service medals. Danny married the former Deborah Lynch on November 26, 1986. He was faithfully employed at Visteon as a furnace operator until his retirement in 2007. Danny enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and playing the drums. He was a hot rod enthusiast; he owned several, but was most proud of his Chevelle, that he restored from ground up. Above all, he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who know and love him. In addition to his wife of thirty-five years, Danny is survived by his children and their spouses: Timothy Evans and Melody, Michael Evans and Marla, Christina Jefferies and Doug, Jennifer Wilson and Robbie; brothers: Gary Evans and Wanda, Ricky Evans, Dean Evans and Drue; sister: Beverly Burgoon; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces and nephews; many special friends including: Angie Hudson and Kelly Mullins. Danny is preceded in death by his parents and sister: Joyce Bishop. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 9th, 2022 at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m., until the time of service. Burial will follow at Laurel North Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Danny's honor.
