John E. Morrison

John Morrison, 78, of Valley Cottage, NY, passed away peacefully on 12/26/2023. He joins his parents Anne and Gerald, brothers Edmund and Gerald, and sister Maryann in eternal rest. Survived by his cherished wife Frances of 54 years, he leaves behind a legacy through his children: Annmarie (Luisito), Gina (Ken), Donna, and Johnny, as well as his sister Lorraine. His six grandchildren, Andrew, Jaida, Hannah, Maya, Ava, and Layla, were his pride and joy.

A proud Marine Corps veteran who served in Vietnam, John embodied courage and honor throughout his military service. His life was a testament to his love of family, friends, and his country. His kindness, and his larger than life personality touched countless lives.

With his infectious laughter, big heart and unique sense of humor, John made friends for life, and memories that will never be forgotten. His family and friends will miss his outrages antics that brought a smile to everyone’s face and his endless stories - he always had a tale for every occasion!

Services to celebrate John's remarkable life will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service, 113 Lake Rd. East. Congers, NY on Tuesday, Jan. 2nd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The burial will take place at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY, on Wednesday Jan. 3rd at 11:15am.
