Catherine Seidl

Catherine Seidl (nee Burrows) of Congers, NY and Glasgow, Scotland passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the age of 84. She was originally from Househillwood Glasgow, Scotland born on October 25, 1936 and immigrated to the U.S. in 1961. Shortly after, she met her beloved husband, Anton J. Seidl, at a dance at the Knights of Columbus in White Plains, NY. In 1963 they married and then settled in Congers, NY where they lovingly raised sons Edward and John, and where she resided until her passing.

She was a dearly loved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved to have fun, dance, listen to music, help friends, go on trips with the Congers Senior Club, spend time with her friends and family, share pictures of her grandchildren, sit by Congers Pool with friends, - and always enjoyed a good cup of tea.

She is survived by her son Edward, daughter-in-law Suzanne, grandson Joseph, granddaughter Siena and Sisters Margaret, Joan, Alice, & Patricia. She was predeceased by her loving husband Tony and loving son John and will be missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends this Tuesday, July 20th, from 3-7 PM at Higgins Funeral Home in Congers, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM, in St. Paul’s Church, Congers followed by interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Congers.
